From the Main Menu in Space Race choose Deck Designer. From the Deck Designer Menu, choose Create Your Own Decks to get the all-powerful Space Race Deck Designer!
DRAGGING OBJECTS ON TO YOUR LEVEL:
Pull your cursor to the bottom of the screen to bring up the toolbar. Drag items out of the toolbar and on to the level.
THE TOOLBAR:

COPYING OBJECTS ON THE SCREEN:Hold down the CTRL key and pick up any object that you've already placed on the screen. This will create a copy of that object and leave the first one in place. This is useful for putting lots of the same object on the level without having to go back and forth to the toolbar. Hold down the SHIFT key to keep the toolbar open while you're dragging.
SETTING YOUR OBJECT'S CHARACTERISTICS:
Some objects have special parameters that you can set to determine the gameplay.
Trance Porters
When you place a Trance Porter on the level, a number will appear above it. Select a number for the Trance Porter using the plus and minus buttons next to the number. Place another transporter on the screen. Set it to the same number as the first Trance Porter in order to link the two. This means that Captain Stubble will transport from one Trance Porter to another.

Laser Gates and Switches
When you place a Laser Gate on the level, a number will appear above it. Select a number for the Laser Gate using the plus and minus buttons next to the number. Then drag a Laser Gate Switch onto the screen. Set it to the same number as the Laser Gate. Now, when Captain Stubble walks by that switch, it will open up that Laser Gate. You can link any switch to any gate in this way. Talk about too much security!

Key Cards and Key Card Slots
When you place a Key Slot on the level, a number will appear above it. Select a number that matches a Laser Gate on the level. Then drag on a Key Card that has the same color as the Key Card Slot. So, if Captain Stubble walks by the red Key Card Slot, for example, and he has the red Key Card, the linked Laser Gate will open!

Mama Spores and Bat Spores
When you place a Mama Spore or Bat Spore on the level, you will notice two arrows on either side of the creature. Pull these arrows out to determine the range of movement for your spore.
Health Shakes
Place a Health Shake of any flavor on your level. Use the plus and minus buttons next to the Shake to determine the number of health points Captain Stubble will get when he walks by that shake. There's nothing quite like Ginseng Asparagus.
Cryogenetic Recussitator Lifesuits
After you drag a C.R.G. on to the level, select the number of extra lives that Captain S. will get when he walks by the suit. These things are really handy in outer space.

Weed Killer Backpack
After you drag a Weed Killer Backpack on to the level, use the plus and minus buttons to set the number of Weed Killer pellets that Stubble will get by picking it up. Those spores hate Weed Killer!

Soda Machines
Place a Soda Machine on to the level and set the number of cans of Fizz inside. When Stubble stands next to this machine, he can get a can of Fizz by pressing the UP ARROW key. He can then drop the soda in front of spores to distract them with some fine refreshments! Set the number high so Stubs can keep coming back for more.
Moverators
Drag a moverator on to the screen and use the two arrows next to it to set its range of movement. There are horizntal and vertical moving Moverators. Why walk when you can Moverate!
CREATING THE BACKGROUND:
Once you've placed all your objects on the level, you'll probably want to spruce it up with some nice background tiles. Who needs Martha Stewart when you've got such a huge selection of background tiles that you can drag on to your level? Remember, you can use the CTRL key to copy tiles if you want a lot of the same tiles on your level! There are even text tiles so you can place messages in the background.
SAVING YOUR LEVEL:
Hit the SAVE button in the lower left part of the screen. Then choose a slot from 1 to 100 in which to save the level you just made. The arrows on the very right side of the toolbar will let you scroll to slots greater than 10.
LOADING A LEVEL:
Let's say you want to try out an old level you made when you were 12. Or maybe you want to edit your sister's old levels without telling her! Just hit the LOAD button on the bottom left of the toolbar. Then pick the level from the list of 100 that will appear in the toolbar. Use the two arrows on the right to scroll to levels greater than 10.
SUBMITTING YOUR LEVEL TO THE GLOBAL DECK NETWORK:
What's the point of working so hard making your level if the millions of other Space Racers around the world can't play it?! From the Deck Designer Menu, pick the Submit Your Deck option. Now just pick any one of the levels you saved to your hard drive and press Submit! You're now a published Space Race Deck Engineer and everyone else in the world can play your level! Drop out of college! Quit your job! Captain Stubble's Data Deck Tech Institute will give you the skills to compete in today's competative market!
PLAYING OTHER PEOPLE'S LEVELS:
Are you tired of playing the same old 25 mind-melding levels in the actual Space Race game? That's OK because people from around the world have submitted their decks to the Global deck Network just so YOU can play them! From the Deck Designer Menu, hit Global Deck Network. Here you can choose from 100 levels submitted by fanatical Space Racers living in their parents' basements all over the world! Pick a level with a cool title and hit Play.
RATING OTHER PEOPLE'S LEVELS:
Not all Space Race levels are created equal. Some have a lot of action, others have Einsteinian logic puzzles built into them. So after you try one out from the Global Deck Network, make sure to give it a rating between 1 and 100 and write in some comments. All ratings will be averaged to produce that level's current Deck Rating Score! The level with the best rating will be featured on the Main Menu page and win you fame and HUGE social status.
