Space Race comes with a few training levels and a help screen, but I know some of you are anxious to learn, so here's how you play:
THE OBJECT:
Get Captain Stubble to the red door to pass each level.
THE KEYS:
Arrow Keys: Move Captain Stubble through his ship.
Space Bar: Jump
Ctrl Key or F Key: Fire weed killer.
Up Arrow: Use transporter.
Down Arrow: Crouch.
Shift Key: Select item in inventory.
Enter Key: Use item selected in inventory.
Space Bar: Deflate helium or turn off jetpack.
All tools will enter your inventory when you walk by them. Use SHIFT to select them and ENTER to use them.
Bombs: Use hydrogen or nitrogen bombs to break through soft walls or to destroy spores. Make sure to get out of their way.
Jet Pack: Use this to fly through the ship. SPACE BAR turns it off, or it will run out after 40 seconds.
Helium: Helium will only take you up, but when there's no jetpack to be found, you've got to improvise! Press SPACE BAR, or touch a spore to deflate.
First Aid Kit: Use this to restore your health completely.
Soda Machine: Stand in front of a soda machine and press the UP ARROW. A soda can will enter your inventory. Drop the soda can in front of a mama spore to distract her for a few seconds.
Trance Porter: Enter a Trance Porter and press the UP ARROW. Who knows where you'll end up?
Mama Spores: It takes 10 shots of weed killer or a bomb to stop these nasty plants.
Baby Spores: One shot will get these guys, but you have to crouch and shoot to get them.
Bat Spores: Jump and shoot. One shot will do it.
